Thank you IDF, the live video conferencing on YouTube was really great.

Here are the proposed rule changes on the AGM 2014 presentation slides:

  1. No minimum size for Street Luge
  2. 4 WC max on a continent instead of 3
  3. 6 best races taken into account instead of 5 (as we may have 11 or 12 WC instead of 8) + Bonus (as in 2013)

Have these proposed rule changes already been approved to take effect in 2014?

If yes, does this not then require all the paid IDF members to vote on them before they are implemented?

Thanks for the support folks. For next years meeting we will have to be a little more sophisticated as we will need to vote for Board members, so the meeting will have to have more control in terms of attendance records and voting numbers.

Abdil, re the rule changes, no, they haven't been approved by the Board (yet).

But, if/when they are, there is no requirement for a vote by members before they are implemented. That doesn't mean we ignore the wishes of members - we don't. But it's like any government - voting by the people at large is only required for changes to the constitution, and for changes to who the government are. Not for changes to ordinary laws.

Hey Bugs you guys should do the ASRA meeting like that too. It was great, and very clear.

One thing that would be very nice, if the classes available at a race could be listed when the race is announced. As it is we have to wait until further information is announced to know if luge, or classic will be raced. (And for that matter juniors, womens, masters, etc) This would help people who need to put in for vacation time early, or to plan what races they can attend in the coming year.
